Historic Views of San Francisco Bay and the Golden Gate

During the exhibition we will be open Thursday through Saturday, 10-5. Other days by appointment.
This exhibition features rare and major 19th-Century paintings of San Francisco Bay by W.A. Coulter (1890) and Marianne Mathieu (1883), as well as important views of the Golden Gate before the bridge by Raymond Yelland (1892) and Theodore Wores (1920). Also on exhibit will be a large Gideon Jacques Denny painting from 1882, depicting the search for the lost Jeannette expedition off “Wrangel’s Land.” Some paintings (not shown) will be on loan from private collections and not for sale.
